Our Neuro-Developmental Optometrist—Dr. Susan Daniel
Dr. Susan Daniel has dedicated her optometry practice to helping neurodivergent, apraxic and non-speaking populations with diagnostic and therapeutic treatments for visual disorders such as ocular-motor, focusing, eye-teaming and perceptual-motor skill delays since 1991. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis in 1987 and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry in 1991. Her practice, Susan Daniel Optometry Consulting, provides Speller Vision Consultations in Oceanside and tele-health vision therapy services to patients in California, Arizona, Nevada and Georgia. Dr. Daniel is a consultant for the San Diego Spellers Center and other Spellers Method Providers throughout the United States. She is featured in the 4th episode of the television series called, Underestimated: The Heroic Rise of Non-Speaking Spellers. Our Yoga Therapist—Christy Burnette
Christy Burnette has been practicing yoga since 1991 and teaching since 1998. Christy maintains an active teaching schedule offering workshops, training, and retreats. Known for her passion, clarity, and creativity, Christy’s teaching is a dynamic blend of inspiration, humor, and careful work. Masterful at synthesis, Christy’s ability to harvest and transmit the unique contributions of various yoga methods is unparalleled. Christy is a certified yoga therapist and teacher trainer. Christy believes that yoga practice can help anyone access their inner wisdom and authentic spirituality and clarify their highest personal expression. Christy lives in Phoenix AZ, with her husband and dogs. When she is not practicing or teaching yoga, she is probably hiking, camping, gardening, or cooking dinner with her husband.
